With 26 years of working with children and most recently serving as Service Director for the company, Anita has stepped up and taken on the role as Managing Director and CEO of Imagine That Family Care. With extensive experience working with toddlers, infants, preschoolers, school-aged and children with autism, her passion for Early Childhood Education and creativity is clear. Always enjoying new opportunities to expand her knowledge and experience, Anita also works as a science presenter for Scientists in School (the largest science outreach program in Canada) as well as a recurring guest speaker at Centennial College for their Early Childhood Education program.
Having graduated from George Brown’s Early Childhood Education program with honours, attended OCAD (Ontario’s prestigious art school), and a mother of two, Anita applies her excellent blend of creativity, good training and genuine life experience to everything she does.
Alicia is a registered Early Childhood Educator with the College of Early Childhood Educators. She posses a Masters in Social Work. She is enthusiastic about working with children of all ages. She has worked with Junior/Senior Kindergarten children for the past 3 years while running a “before and after school program” for children 6-12 years of age. Alicia has tutored children between the ages of 6-12 years old in math, language and basic French. She has also volunteered in residential treatment facilities with adolescents ranging from 14 -18 years of age. Alicia has always maintained a strong sense of relationship between home, school, and community as it relates toward providing a balance of learning opportunities.
